IMy family moved from pre-fab to pre-fab all over Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. I moved to Boston nine years ago to attend Northeastern University, an amusement park for the more rebellious offspring of New Jersey's ruling class. I love reading, cycling, and bacon. My very first scrum. We worked together as a team and stole the ball from the other side.
What does playing rugby with the IRONSIDES mean to me?:
I joined because I had two goals: meet more gay people and get more exercise. Two birds, one stone, am I right? But playing for the Ironsides has given me even more than I hoped for: confidence, self-discipline, and a killer ass and shoulders.
What would I say to someone thinking of joining?:
Do it. Stick with it. It takes some getting used to, but one day, sooner than you'd think, you'll realize you're addicted.
