Practice Pitch in Providence

Mount Pleasant High School is located in Providence and is an alternate practice location when outdoor accomodations in or around Boston aren't available The Ironsides may also schedule a Bootcamp South if there is enough interest from potential players who do not live in the Boston metro area later in 2012. If you'd like to participate in a practice, please bring suitable outdoor workout gear - sturdy shorts or sweatpants and a shirt you don't mind getting dirty, and cleats if you have them. If you decide to join the team (and we think that you will!), you'll need a full rugby kit... but don't worry about that yet.

By Public Transportation

Public transportation is difficult in Providence, but the MBTA commuter rail from South Station to Providence Station will get you close if you have a ride set up from there. The pitch is about two miles away.

Driving Directions

From I-93

Proceed on I-93 S to I-95 S.

Take Exit 24 (Branch Avenue) and bear right at end of ramp.

Left at light onto West River Ave. (past Stop & Shop on left)

Bear right at fork to stay on West River Ave.

Turn right onto Charles St.

Left at the light onto Admiral St., then left at Whipple St. (right before Dunkin' Donuts)

Left onto Douglas Ave. then sharp right onto Chalkstone Ave.

Right onto Mt. Pleasant Ave.

Mt. Pleasant High School is about a half mile up on the left
