What does being an Ironside mean to you?
Being an Ironside is about putting in my best effort to get better every week and trusting my teammates are doing the same thing. It's about working together to achieve what we can't do alone.
What's one thing being on the team has changed for you?
Sports were never something that came naturally to me, and, growing up as a chubby kid who was clearly different, I never felt welcome on team before. Being on the Ironsides is the first time I've had the chance to be myself and learn the skills to play a sport that I now really love!
Which Harry Potter house are you in and do you agree?
A true hat stall, I stumped the sorting hat for several minutes, but after pondering Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, he decided Gryffindor was the right house for me.
What are your other hobbies besides rugby?
I'm a huge opera nut. I collect vintage opera recordings on CD and vinyl, and you may find me dashing out of a drink-up to make an 8 PM curtain across town.
What can you not go a week without?
Coffee. I need it. I pack a big thermos in my gym bag every morning so I have some throughout the work day. I get my beans shipped in every month from SK Coffee, and I like to switch up my brewing method every few weeks to keep it interesting.
