These are the good people who make sure we have space on a pitch to practice, teams to play against, money to subsidize our travel, paperwork filed to retain our nonprofit status, and so much more. Running for the executive board and voting in the annual elections is a privilege open to any current player or official supporter. The 2023 executive board is working hard to continue to push this team to its strongest potential on and off the pitch. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail any of our executive board members.
Greg Richer will join the Boston Ironsides as a coach and player for the 2023 Season. Richer will join us with a wide variety of rugby experience. As a player Richer has played for almost a dozen clubs including the Boston Thirteens (where he won a National Championship), Waikato University (where he played with multiple future All Blacks), and FC Barcelona Rugby amongst others. He also coached Algonquin Regional High School to their first ever MIAA Rugby playoff appearance and the Boston 13s age grade team to an undefeated season. He also brings IGR experience having been the defensive coach for the Nashville Grizzlies for two seasons. Off the field Richer is an Educator; teaching 7th grade history in Dorchester, a Husband, and a Father. He is excited to bring his unique mix of knowledge from Rugby League and Rugby Union, as well as his experience as an educator to create a dynamic offensive structure, a solid defense, and to help players acquire a threatening set of skills. He is excited to be joining a club with such a strong and storied history and is excited to help them find even more on the field success.
